GROUND BREAKING FOR VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK

LCD, in conjunction with American Legion Post #124, as well as Subcontractors Concrete Structures, Light works Electric, Lovett & many local veterans will be doing an official groundbreaking ceremony of the Veterans Memorial Park.
The Veterans Memorial honors Corporal Richard A. Jannigan, who was killed in the Vietnam War. The memorial lists the names of all the Oregonians who died in the Vietnam War and those who were listed as missing in action. The memorial was dedicated on June 1968 and then rededicated in 1982 by Tom McCall.
The memorial was on display from 1968 to the fall of 2015 at the Beaverton Elks Lodge (located at 3500 SW 104th). The Veterans Memorial was removed from the Beaverton Elks building due to the sale and re-purposing of the facility. Once LCD was made aware of the sale of the building, company president Jerry Jones Jr. jumped at the opportunity to assist local veterans with the relocation of the memorial to preserve the memory of all of the fallen soldiers that served in the Vietnam War.

Home Runs for Homeless Youth!

KICK IT WITH US!
Thank you to everyone who kicked it with us for a day of fun and kickball in 2015! Your support and presence is what made the 4th Annual Home Runs for Homeless Youth a success. Well over 300 kickballers, volunterrs and spectators joined us at the Ron Tonkin Field to cheer on our teams and enjoy the sun.

With your help we were able to raise over $23,000 for HomePlate Youth Services.

Home Runs for Homeless Youth is a kickin’ fundraiser for HomePlate Youth Services, who serve the growing number of youth experiencing homelessness or instability in Washington County through outreach and drop-in centers.
